Operation Holiday 2019 served almost 1000 children in Northern New Jersey by providing toys to families who might not otherwise afford them during the holiday season. This year’s effort, now in it’s 16th year, was led by Jasmin Acosta, GBCA’s Executive Assistant who organized intake and distribution.
The companies, churches, and groups that donated included: Becton Regional High School; Bergen County Bar Association; Bergen County Central Trades and Labor Council; Brown & Caldwell; Galilee United Methodist Church; Hackensack High School; HUMC Pediatric ER; Metropolitan Center; National Association of Letter Carriers Bergen County Merged Branch 425; Parisian Beauty Academy; Zumiez Foundation. Also donated were homemade knitted hats from Kathy Stadlin as well as toy and coat donations from other private donors such as Demi Pescatore.
